Rubellite, also commonly known as Red Tourmaline, is a beryllium aluminum silicate mineral that crystallizes in the form of masses. Most specimens form in a Quartz matrix or grow on top of one. Rubellite comes from a few different locals including Brazil, Africa, and the legendary tourmaline mines in Maine and Southern California.
